Our services are rendered directly to the Client or via their appointed Principal Agent (Project Managers, Architects, Quantity surveyors or Engineers). Our Construction Health and Safety Agent service are based on the requirements and deliverables defined by the South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP). The amended Construction Regulations (February 2014) have completely changed the way we manage health and safety on construction projects. As part of the new regulation’s health and safety have been included in the pre-construction phases and the professional registration with SACPCMP and the introduction of a construction work permit for certain categories of construction projects. The Construction stages are:

Stage 1: Project Initiation and Briefing
Stage 2: Concept and Feasibility
Stage 3: Design Development
Stage 4: Tender Documentation and Procurement
Stage 5: Construction Documentation and Management
Stage 6: Project Close-out

The CHSA (Client Health and Safety Agent) are appointed by the Client to ensure that health and safety is managed to limit project risk. The CHSA works together with the professional team, and it is therefore imperative that a competent person can provide the statutory services expected. Any person practicing in the field of Construction Health and Safety is required to be registered with the statutory body, which is the South African Council for Construction and Project Management Professions (SACPCMP).
